GRAND PARADES
2012
Theme:
'MAPLE ~ Our Sweetest Heritage'
The 83rd annual Geauga County
Maple Festival Parades will be held on Saturday, April 28th and Sunday,
April 29th in Chardon, Ohio.This is Chardon’s Bicentennial year.
The City of Chardon & Chardon Township are
celebrating the community’s 200th birthday.
Therefore, the bicentennial parade theme is “MAPLE – Our Sweetest
Heritage”. We request that
all float entries be done in accordance with the theme.
Both parades will begin at 3 PM sharp.
Any individual or group may complete the entry form to participate.
Commercial units will be accessed a fee of $25.00 per entry per day.
No charge to non-profit organizations.
There will be float judging and prizes awarded in
Junior & Adult floats, Junior and Senior Marching Corps, Antique/Classic
Cars and Horse Divisions for those units participating in
both days parades.
You will be mailed a confirmation letter approximately
10 days prior to the parade, which will include the designated area for the
line-up and a map that will assist you.
Line-up begins at 1:45 PM each day and parade crews will be available
to assist you.
Parade entry forms must be received by April
14th. Please do not
hesitate to call with any questions or concerns that you may have.
