What will the 2009 Festival dates be ???  The Festival Board is holding a special meeting in May to determine exactly that !  Check back after May 20th for updates !

BATTLE OF THE BANDS ...

In the spring of 1965 the Chardon Maple Festival
had it's first Battle of The Bands. This was a contest
started to showcase local talent. It was held in a tent
on the West side of the Geauga County Court House.
The Trolls won that first contest receiving the grand prize
of $50.00. We were given a spot in the big Maple Festival
Grand Parade and rode in a specially decorated truck
Mrs. Haueter fixed up for us. It was a great time in our lives
that still brings back many fond memories.

The group photo was taken at Burr Funeral Home on
South St. in their casket show room.
