By invitation only from Cathy Baluch, our Publicity Chairperson,
we are joined by representatives of local media and City/County officials
including the Mayor of Chardon, Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Chardon,
the Chardon Police Dept., County Commissioners, Chardon City Council, G-TV, and,
of course, many Maple Festival Directors were in attendance

Our guests were informed about new events coming up at the 2008 Maple Festival and were reminded that G-TV broadcasts live all day Saturday & Sunday.

President, Bill Dufur introduced the Maple Festival Board in attendance.  Guests were then invited to Tappin' Sunday festivities which include the 3rd annual Sap Bucket Painting Contest and Children's Coloring Contest.

Board Member, Jen Freeman presented details on the Invitational Lumberjack Competition which she and husband, Ken coordinate and run each year.

This beautiful cake was designed and made especially for Media Day by the White Flower Cake Shoppe in Beachwood.
