HOW TO TAP A MAPLE TREE

Dave Lelko, Chardon City Manager, is the official tapper of the maple tree at the 2008 Tappin' Sunday ceremonies
First... he drills the hole...

Then he taps in the spile

next, he hangs the bucket...
and his work is done!

The scene on the 2008 ceremonial sap bucket was
hand-painted by Hambden resident
Bob Kolcum
