The Maple Festival Royal Pageant is a cherished event that selects representatives to embody the spirit of the festival. Participants showcase their poise, charm, and knowledge of maple syrup production and local traditions. These participants spend the year following the festival traveling to other festivals in the state of Ohio to connect with other royalty & spread word of our own festival!

Event Highlights:

• Contestants: Participants from the local community, compete for titles such as Maple Queen and her court, promoting the festival and its values.
• Judging Criteria: Contestants are evaluated on their public speaking skills, interviews, and presentations about the significance of maple syrup and the festival.
• Community Engagement: The pageant fosters community involvement, with audience members encouraged to cheer on their favorite contestants, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere.
• Crowning Ceremony: The event culminates in a crowning ceremony, where winners receive crowns & sashes and the opportunity to represent the festival at various events throughout the year.
  
  

This pageant not only celebrates the qualities of its participants but also highlights the rich tradition of maple syrup production in the community of Geauga County making it a delightful part of the festival.
